John here! Filling in for Gary was fun, hope you enjoyed it.
We had 8 teams including some first-timers and some friends from our Dogfish Head game in Milton (no games for the summer) Pemberton Bunch! Can’t tell you how much I appreciated them showing up to support me and have a great time with some great food!
At halftime, BicycleMargaritas were on top by a nose as Trivia Newton-John were close enough to smell their cologne in a strong head-wind, and About Faces were close enough to read the labels on TNJ’s shirts! It was a tight-grouping! Speaking of groupings, attempt to draw the band logo of any group or at least name a group for your Round 2 Art Bonus – worth 3 points!
Rolling up into that final question, Trivia Newton-John had pushed their way past the other teams only to find they weren’t alone! Sons of Beaches had slipped up into the top spot in a flanking attack as both teams were sitting in a dead heat tie! BicycleMargaritas were a few points back in 3rd with a little wind in their sails.

So, just like THAT! Pemberton Bunch puts up with my jokes about Milton and walks away the champions, even getting to experience our BRAND NEW TROPHY! Yay! But… will they return to Arena’s with regular host extraordinaire Gary to defend their title? Or will they follow John to JD shuckers for Music Bingo? THAT is the question.
