Arena’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 5/12/25

Arena's: It was great to be back in action on the avenue, and we were in double-digits worth of teams. About Faces, Cunning Linguists and Med's Heads all won OTB extra points for their responses. Med's Heads set the bar high, nearly sweeping the first half. *draw a picture of a parking meter on the (5/19/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At the halfway mark, Med's Heads held a comfortable lead over About Faces, followed by a 3-way tie between Tres Amigos, 4 T's and The Cohen's. Med's Heads struggled to maintain their momentum in the second half, while about faces built up a head of steam to take over the top spot midway through the half. Going into the Final Bonus, About Faces held a comfortable lead over Med's Heads, Hot Totz, Tres Amigos and I Came To Lose.

Arena's Deli - Let's Do Trivia! - Blurb for 5/12/25

Wow!

What a reunions party we had last Monday at Arena’s in Downtown Rehoboth Beach!

 

So AWESOME to see Theresa, Spoonie, & Daddy-C teamed up, once again, as Team 2 B Reckoned With!

 

Then there were Lee’s in the house under the Med’s heads banner! Brud & Jeb dragged a Derrickson out and with a team of 7 or so, stayed busy putting the HIRT in the SHIRTS of competitors. Dos Amigos were in house as were ABOUT FACES and of course our favorite House Team, Hot Tots! It was a veritable WHO’S WHO of eastern Sussex! Oh, and I was there, too. But that didn’t take away from the fun… much.

 

7 Teams, in all, started our journey for knowledge but only 6 would hang to the end.

 

At halftime, Team 2B were all tied up with Med’s Heads with About Faces just 4 points back in 3^rd. Speaking of art… if yaw anna 3-point boom this week, draw an odor. Yeah, I don’t knot how you’re gonna do it, but… have fun.

 

Team 2B had the lead going into the final, and they still had it coming OUT of the final! WIN! $50 Inflated prize for our good friends! A 2^nd place tie between Med’s Heads and About Faces left Med’s Heads without a monetary prize, but with that warm feeling one gets when they’ve just had a great night with great people! So it’s nothing at all like taco diarrhea.  It’s different.

Arena's Rehoboth!-Let's Do Trivia!-5/5/25

Monday night at Arena's Rehoboth Beach brought the heat with a packed house for Let's Do Trivia! The competition was fierce from the start, with Team 2Be Reckoned With leading early at 33 points. Hot on their heels were About Faces (32), Hot Totz (31), and Somehow The Youngest Team Here (31), all battling for that top spot.

By halftime, Somehow The Youngest Team Here had found their groove, jumping into the lead with 39 points. Hot Totz and Team 2Be Reckoned With were right behind with 37 each, while About Faces and Shadeur Sanders Needs A New Agent kept things tight in the top five.

In the second half, Somehow The Youngest Team Here held strong, finishing with 70 points and taking home the $40 prize! Hot Totz ended in second with 61 points—since they're the house team, their $10 prize rolls over, making next week's pot $50! About Faces rounded out the top three with 49 points, followed by Thirty Fish, Team 2Be Reckoned With, and Tres Amigos.

Arena's: A fantastic crowd arrived for our game this week on the ave. Hot Totz got things rolling with a hilarious OTB response, taking the bonus point and leading the early charge. Team 2 B Reckoned With built up momentum to take over at the front midway through the half. *draw a picture of Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket on the (4/28/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At the halfway mark, Team 2 B Reckoned With held a slim lead over About Faces, Med's Heads, then a tie between Tres Amigos and O-Dogs. It remained a tight match throughout the second half. Going into the Final Bonus, Team 2 B Reckoned With and Med's Heads shared the top spot just ahead of About Faces, Hot Totz and Tres Amigos.

Only one team correctly answered the Final Bonus, scoring the victory! And we needed a tie-breaker to determine our 2nd place prize winner.

Arena's: Nearly a dozen teams filled with several of our local regulars along with a handful of newbies joined our game this week. Med's Heads snagged the OTB extra point and exerted their dominance over the competition throughout the early rounds. *draw a picture of a fuzzy bunny on the (4/21/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, Med's Heads sat atop the roster over Beach, NO Teach, followed by a 3-way tie between She Doesn't Even Go Here, About Faces and Knights Who Say Ni!. Med's Heads continued their run at the front during the second half, while the rest of the pack battled over the runner-up positions. They were closely trailed by a tie between About Faces and Knights Who Say Ni!, then Kingsport and She Doesn't Even Go Here going into the Final Bonus.

Arena's: We had a handful of teams this week. About Faces snagged the OTB extra point, but it was Hot Totz who bolted out of the gate and ran at the front of the field throughout the first half. *draw a picture of a broken piggy bank on the (4/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At the halfway mark, Hot Totz were closely followed by About Faces, then RAH, The Morons and The Whiskeys. Hot Totz ran the table in the second half to extend their lead over the competition. Going into the Final Bonus, they where trailed by About Faces, The Whiskeys, RAH and The Morons.

Arena's: It's already starting to feel like Summer on the avenue. We had a handful of teams join this week's game. About Faces snagged the OTB extra point, but it was Med's Heads who quickly stormed to the front and held the lead over the early rounds. However, About Faces built up steam to overtake Med's Heads late in the half. *draw a picture of a thunderstorm on the (4/7/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points*. At Halftime, Med's Heads were back up front, closely followed by a tie between Hot Totz and About Faces, then Tres Amigos and BG. About Faces didn't waste any time exerting their dominance in the second half to yet again wrestle the lead away from Med's Heads. Going into the Final Bonus, About Faces held a firm grasp on the top spot, trailed by Hot Totz, Med's Heads, Tres Amigos and BG.
